Bill and Sam are both lawyers who decided to give up their hectic City life-styles to pursue their Francophile passion and move to France. They spent four years in Normandy where they ran a highly successful gites complex and chambre d’hotes business from their 17th century stone farmhouse near Mont St Michel, before moving to the South in 2007.
Both are passionate about food, growing most of their own fruit and vegetables and cooking up a feast. Given that, they regularly run, swim, ski in the winter and surf in the summer to fight off the calories. When not welcoming guests, they work from home as legal recruitment specialists.
Their children, Charlie, 15 and Olivia, 11 attend schools in Carcassonne and keep busy with swimming at the local club in Trebes, dancing, theatre studies and general mischief. Their dogs, Nellie the chocolate lab and Wally the energetic young golden retriever complete the team. (Oh and not forgetting the chickens…)
